BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK

Those who know me best know that I despise academia for everything that it is. I've tried to drop out of college in the past and for some reason I find myself back at the university season and season again. How?

Pure evil cannot be analyzed, only feared, vanquished, or submitted to. I've decided to take a new approach toward school and create some sort of positive outlook about the whole ordeal so that I can spare myself the misery of resisting and nearly failing out. How can I improve my attitude so that I will actually attend a class?

DUH, with a mix CD. We all know that my iPod was stolen, so CDs are now again WHERE IT'S AT. As long as I can dress better than the people who attend SFSU and as long as I can listen to Primal Scream while I'm walking around that pit of ugly, then maybe I won't have such a hard time. Ehh? EHHHHH?

Starting this season (I don't call them semesters) I'm going to put up a new, invigorating BACK TO SCHOOL mix for you to take and do what you want with. I try to think of it in terms of songs to listen to on the train, or otherwise in transit when you don't feel like awkwardly making friends with the poor souls you know from classes you have or once shared. Nothing's worse than having a heinous conversation about transgressive fiction with some women's studies major who happens to be "branching out" into your field of study only to misinterpret and overanalyze everything so that all the joy of it gets sucked out from under you through a cunt-straw.

Know what I'm saying? Here.

Elvis Costello - Welcome to the Working Week
Gang of Four - Natural's Not In It
The Kooks - Sofa Song
The Sugarcubes - Leash Called Love (Tony Humphries Mix)
Primal Scream - Country Girl
Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
The Cure - Strange Attraction
Elliott Smith - Bled White
Phoenix - Long Distance Call
The Magnetic Fields - Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits
Sinead O'Conner - Emperor's New Clothes
Deee-Lite - Good Beat
The Radio Dept. - Keen On Boys
El Perro del Mar - God Knows
Comet Gain - Why I Try to Look So Bad
Iggy Pop - Shades

I kinda don't. This is my first time here, and I gotta say, that whole "as long as I can dress better" bullshit a big turn off. Complaining about school straight-up childish, dude. Will I bookmark this blog and come back regularly? Sadly yes, even if it's just to see what kinds of asshole comments you have yet to make.

Oh, give me a break. If I don't like the school I'm going to I think I can complain about it if I want.

I SAID I'm reinventing my outlook, and I'm starting to like it better already. I think this post is an honest analysis of my shitty attitude and an expression that I would like to fix it for the better. Don't pee on my parade.

And we should all strive to dress better. Always. College campus couture has become like a gigantic sweatpants-strewn dorm room. Society is dropping the ball on dressing appropriately and with professionalism.

Also, I'm a snot and this is my blog.
